Klipper Nozzle Change

These are the things to do to change nozzle when the printer is using Klipper firmware. Mine is an Ender 3 but should be similar for other printers.

  • Heat up the nozzle
  • Retract the filament
  • Unscrew the nozzle (eg. .8)
  • Clean
  • screw in the new nozzle (eg. .4)
  • Calibrate Z offset using "PROBE_CALIBRATE"
    • Do paper test (TESTZ Z=+.05, TESTZ Z=-.05)
    • ACCEPT
    • SAVE_CONFIG
  • Update the nozzle in printer.cfg config "nozzle_diameter"
  • Do Screw tilt calibrate
  • Do Bed Mesh calibration
  • Change Nozzle in SuperSlicer printer settings
    • Select the quality in Print Settings (.20 mm for .4 nozzle)
  • Start Printing
